Discover the awe-inspiring Beth Sholom Synagogue, featuring a soaring 110-foot ceiling and over 1,000 seats bathed in natural light.

Explore the building in depth with a 90-minute docent-led tour, offering rich insights into its design, symbolism, and lasting cultural impact.

Your visit includes a special viewing of a 20-minute film that tells the inspiring story behind the Synagogue’s creation — a visionary collaboration between Rabbi Mortimer J. Cohen and the legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

Know Before You Go

  • Beth Sholom is an active synagogue located on private property. To ensure the safety and security of all visitors and congregants, security personnel are on site. All bags may be subject to search upon entry, and unauthorized visitors may be asked to leave the premises. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a safe and respectful environment.

  • Parking is available behind the building, accessible from Foxcroft Rd. The bus drop-off is in the parking lot at the bottom of the ramp with the green awning. Please park buses in the back of the parking lot unless otherwise directed.

  • From the parking lot, please use the ramp under the green awning and wait at the locked doors. Your assigned docent will meet you at the doors shortly before your tour is scheduled to start.

  • While there are several flights of stairs throughout the building—some with up to 20 steps and equipped with hand railings—visitors can access all main areas using elevators and ramps. We are committed to ensuring the building remains accessible.

  • No photography or video of any exhibition.
