Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with Beth Sholom Synagogue - the American Synagogue! Explore our historical treasure at your own pace during this special event. Bring your family and friends and learn more about the history, design, and significance of this National Historic Landmark.

Event Details

Advance registration is required. Pre-registered visitors have the unique opportunity to check-in any time between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. Payment is due upon arrival, and all adult (ages 18+) visitors must present a valid, government-issued ID for entry.

Knowledgeable docents will be stationed in the Main Sanctuary, Sisterhood Sanctuary, and Visitor Center to share information, answer questions, and enhance your visit. A special 20-minute film narrated by Leonard Nimoy, telling the story of Beth Sholom Synagogue will be shown in the Visitor Center at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, and 12:30 pm.

Complimentary refreshments will be provided. All Design Store purchases receive 25% OFF.

  • You must pre-register to attend this event. When you register, your contact information and group details are automatically populated into our check-in list.

    All registered visitors receive email confirmation and event reminders through our booking system, Acuity Scheduling.

  • Payment is due when you arrive for your visit. We accept:

    • Checks payable to Beth Sholom Preservation Foundation

    If you are a member of NARM, ROAM, or another participating Frank Lloyd Wright site, please present your valid membership card at check-in to receive any applicable reciprocal admission benefits.

  • Parking is available behind the building, accessible from Foxcroft Rd.

  • Enter using the ramp and double doors under the green awning. You can only access the entrance from the parking lot. No one will be admitted into the building through other doors.

  • A check-in table will be set up at the entrance. All adult (18+) attendees MUST present a valid, government-issued photo ID to enter the building. No exceptions.

  • Beth Sholom Synagogue is committed to ensuring the building remains accessible.

    At check-in, please let staff know if you would like to use the elevator and a volunteer will escort you.

  • Beth Sholom Synagogue is an active synagogue with on-site security. Attendees may be subject to search and, if warranted, may be asked to leave the premise. 

    Attendees must remain in the designated event spaces and cannot independently tour the building beyond those areas. No exceptions. 

  • No Food & Drink (water is allowed) inside the building. 

    No large bags, large purses, and backpacks. We recommend leaving large items in your vehicle as they will not be allowed inside the building. 

    No weapons.

  • No photography or video during the Visitor Center film. Otherwise, still photos and video of Beth Sholom Synagogue are restricted to personal use only and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without written consent.

  • You will have an opportunity to view the Main Sanctuary, Sisterhood Sanctuary, and Visitor Center during this event. A knowledgeable docent will be available in each room to answer questions and share information.
